AEK was placed for the incident with Stéphane Lanois at the OPAP Arena. The Union communicated its own position regarding what was leaked about the pro-feminism of the French head of the KEDemphasizing that nothing like this ever happenedwhile he added that after a verbal incident against him, Lanois himself initially chose to retire to the Lounge and watch the match on the television that was in the area and then to leave the field, by his own decision, during the derby break.
The position of PAE AEK:
“Mr. Lanois was hosted in the stadium’s VIP Lounge, in a completely protected environment.
In the same Lounge, a few seats next to him, executives and members of the PAOK PAOK mission were accommodated without any problems.
In the same part of the field, he has been hosted almost all the times he has visited our field. AEK accommodates everyone in the best way, and this is what it did now with all the officials, the PAOK team and the Savvidis family.
There was no bullying. There was an isolated incident of verbal abuse from the bottom floor. Mr. Lanois himself chose to retire to the Lounge and watch the match on the television that was in the area. At halftime he decided to go down to the locker room and then left the field.
