A few days before the release of his directorial debut “Creed III” o Michael B. Jordan got a star at Walk of Fame in Hollywood. The actor, producer and director received star number 2751 at an event attended by his family, “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler and “Creed III” star Jonathan Majors.

“Michael B. Jordan has become a household name thanks to his many roles on the big screen,” Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a press release. “And to think that this particular star didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming an actor! Fortunately for us, he changed his mind,” he added.

The actor won the star for the work in film and television. His relationship with Ryan Coogler dates back to 2013, when the then-up-and-coming director and actor, who has appeared in roles on the TV series The Wire and Friday Night Lights, were building their careers.

Ryan Coogler said he had Michael B. Jordan in mind for his directorial debut Fruitvale Station, but wanted to meet the actor first before officially casting him.

“I wanted to make sure we had good chemistry and could work together, connect during the months of filming,” the director said during the ceremony.

“I really want to say thank you to everyone who is here,” said Michael B. Jordan.
