Particularly positive were the messages received by EOT for this year’s tourist season in TTRI Romania International Tourism Fairwhich took place in Bucharest, from 23 to 26 February. According to the estimates of the Romanian tourism agents, Greece is expected to star in the 2023 tourist season, as bookings are already better than last year and at a higher level than in 2019.

EOT participated with a booth 108 sqm and 12 co-exponents (Regions of Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Thessaly, Central Greece, Western Greece, Ionian Islands and Crete, the Tourist Organization of Halkidiki, the Municipality of Volos, the Chamber of Trikala and the hotel companies Grecotel and Zeus International).

Meanwhile, the Romanian EOT Foreign Service organized a series of activities at the EOT stand, which for another year made Greece the focus of interest for the public and professionals who visited the exhibition. In fact, a large event of business meetings (B2B) lasting four hours was held, with the participation of approx 80 tourist businesses from Greece and Romania, which was the biggest business-professional event of the exhibition.

The other actions implemented by the Romanian EOT Office highlighted Greece and Greek tourist destinations in the Romanian media and social media and included reporting on the EOT booth by major Romanian television networks (state television network TVR, the first in the general television network Antena 1, Prima Tv and the second in the category of news networks Realitatea Plus) after a relevant invitation from the Romanian EOT Office.
