Apple TV+ released the trailer for the upcoming dystopian series Silo. The sci-fi series is based on the successful trilogy of novels by Hugh Howey and will make its world premiere on May 5, 2023.
Silo has already garnered attention for its impressive cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins.
Set in a future world where the last 10,000 people on earth live in a giant silo located hundreds of stories deep underground, the series follows the story of Juliette, played by Rebecca Ferguson, an engineer searching for answers to the murder of a loved one. As she digs deeper, she discovers a mystery far deeper than she imagined, and soon realizes that the truth can be more deadly than the lies she’s been told.
The series was created by Emmy-nominated screenwriter Graham Yost, who also serves as showrunner. Morten Tyldum, nominated for an Oscar for his work on Defending Jacob and Imitation Game, directs the first three episodes.
Silo will premiere with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode weekly, every Friday through June 30, 2023, on Apple TV+.
