After having a series of shows canceled after offending teachers, the singer MC Pipokinha released a note in which she apologizes for, according to her, having been misunderstood by some niches.
On Instagram, when talking to followers, the funk artist made fun of the salary of the class and compared it to hers. “Don’t fight with your teacher because of me. Poor thing, she’s already a teacher. You have to love the profession a lot, because listening to other people’s children say something wrong? You have to have nothing to do at home anyway”, she began. “My dance costs R$70,000, 30 minutes on top of the stage. She doesn’t even earn R$5,000”, he added.
In the note, signed with her legal advisor, she says that the statements were taken by emotion and that she had no desire to humiliate anyone.
“The singer comes to formalize her intention to emphasize the importance of the class of education professionals who deserve to be better seen and consequently better paid.”
The note continues: “It is worth noting that the singer, unfortunately, has been suffering numerous gratuitous attacks on the internet, due to her being active in issues of female empowerment and because she is constantly growing in the media, and when hearing words supposedly spoken by another woman dubiously expressed.”
The statement also touches on the theme of another video in which Pipokinha appears with a cat and the animal licks her breast. “There was the mistaken spread of sexualization with their pets, being clear that there was no practice of any act of abuse and / or mistreatment”, she concludes.
