Roberto de Carvalho published a new photo of his wife, singer Rita Lee, 75, on social media and enchanted the internet this Saturday night (11), a week after the artist was discharged from hospital after being hospitalized in the midst of recovery of lung cancer.
In the photo, Rita appears sitting in an armchair in the living room, apparently watching television. In the caption, her husband used several red hearts. A week earlier, Roberto had also shared a photo of the singer to announce that she was back home — the publication had more than 200,000 likes.
Celebrities reacted to the new record: musician Branco Mello, from Titãs, and actor Dudu Azevedo left hearts in the comments on the photo. “Viva Rita Lee! Health and more health”, “So good to see Ritinha well” and “What a beautiful gift this photo is for us, Rob” are some examples of comments left by the singer’s fans.
In May 2021, the singer-songwriter was diagnosed with a tumor in her left lung after a routine checkup. In April 2022, less than a year after the diagnosis, the family announced that she was cured and the cancer was in remission. The most recent hospitalization, according to her husband, was part of the cancer recovery process.
