The daughter of King Abdullah II of Jordan, Princess Iman, married him today of Greek origin Tzameel Alexandros Thermiotis in the royal palace near the capital Amman.

State television broadcast the wedding ceremony of the 27-year-old princess and the Greek-born businessman, in the presence of the king, Queen Rania and other members of the royal family, as well as the groom’s family.

Princess Iman, a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, is the eldest daughter of the Jordanian royal couple and second in line to the throne, after Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Her husband, born in 1994 in Venezuela from a family of Greek origin, is a financial consultant in New York.

The Palace announced the couple’s engagement in July.
