The recorded version of the theatrical performance that broke the box office, “People and Mice” by Vassilis Bismbikis, is available for on demand watching in the first days of the year and promises a complete viewing experience, adapted to the language and aesthetics of cinema.
The show-phenomenon after a short break is ready to return to its natural space, on the stage of Cartel Technopark from 5/1. At the same time, it gives the public the opportunity to see from January 1 to 9 the recorded version online through the platform of Viva.gr.

Starting from the absolute respect for the need of the spectator to experience even indirectly the theatrical experience, in the unprecedented conditions that gave birth to the pandemic, the extremely realistic theater of Vassilis Bismbikis and the Cartel Group meets the codes of cinema. The camera in the hand of the director of photography Dimitris Katsaitis becomes the eye of the viewer who closely watches the heroes of the story, creating the same feeling that prevailed in the Cartel scene.
Vassilis Bismbikis with a show of extreme realism narrates the life of two displaced souls, Vassilis and Lenos in the area of Renti, in industrial warehouses and factories looking for work. The heroes of “People and Mice” are workers suffering from work and the harsh reality they experience. They face racism and especially the need for a living wage. Racism, the illusory dream of a small property, the power of friendship, the importance of hope, the ideals of devotion, faith, self-determination and solidarity, are elements of the timelessness of John Steinbeck’s masterpiece.
