New Zealand actor Sam Neill, widely known for his leading role in the film series “Jurassic Park”, reveals in his memoirs that he is battling cancer.

The 75-year-old actor was diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-lymphoma last March when he developed swollen lymph nodes during events to promote Jurassic World: Reign.

He underwent chemotherapy, but it did not have the expected results. He then underwent treatment, which he will have to receive monthly for the rest of his life.

“The thing is, I’m a fraud. I may be dying,” he writes in the first chapter of his autobiography entitled “Did I ever tell you this?” which will be released next week.

Born in Northern Ireland, Sam Neill began his film career in the 1970s. The role that made him world famous was that of paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant in the “Jurassic Park” film series.
