Bruce Willis’ family celebrate his birthday with love, laughter and, of course, song! The actor turned 68 years old and the people next to him wanted to surprise him.

So, the ex-wife, Demi Moore, posted a tender video on Instagram with the family, including his wife Emma Heming Willis and his children, to sing “Happy Birthday” to the actor.

Bruce Willis appeared excited and touched by the love of his family, while he did not fail to blow out the candles on his special cake.

“Happy Birthday, Bruce Willis! So glad we got to celebrate you today,” Moore wrote in her post. “We love you and we love our family. Thank you all for your love and warm wishes.”

This particular video is the first his family has released since sharing the actor’s frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.

When the family revealed the actor’s FTD (Frontotemporal Dementia) diagnosis last month, they said, among other things, in a statement:

“Bruce always used his ‘voice’ to help anyone in need. We know in our hearts that – if she could today – she would want to raise awareness of this debilitating disease to everyone she can and let everyone know how it affects so many people and their families. Bruce always found joy in life. It means everything to us to see that sense of caring reflected in him and all of us. We were so touched by your love for our beloved husband, father and friend during this difficult time. Your compassion, understanding and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible.”

Frontotemporal dementia affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. It is one of the most common forms of dementia. It is an irreversible condition, which is due to neurodegenerative changes in the brain. Possibly, it is the most difficult form of dementia to manage. One of its peculiarities is that it usually appears at a younger age, compared to other dementias.

Let us recall that a few days ago her wife had asked the photographers, when her husband is out in public, not to approach him and not to photograph him. “Please don’t take it personally if we decline a photo shoot,” she wrote. “He’s just trying to remember how to put one foot in front of the other. It’s a really difficult time for him.

Please hold your space. I know this is your job, but please don’t yell at my husband asking how he’s doing or anything. Don’t do this.
Give him his space. Allow our family or whoever is with him to be able to get him from point A to point B safely,” Bruce Willis’ wife said.
