Larissa Ferreira, lead singer of the forró band Mastruz com Leite, claimed to have been harassed by a member of the group. The name of the accused was not released. The singer made the revelation this Tuesday (4), in a series of videos published on Instagram Stories.

In a statement, the band Mastruz com Leite said that it is taking steps in relation to the musician and that it supports the singer.

Ferreira said the situation happened in the last week of December when she and her husband, Jean Batera, the drummer in the group, hosted the man at their house after a dinner with the group members. “If I’m not mistaken, it was at one o’clock in the morning that we went to bed and this man stayed in our room. It starts wrong there. He stayed in my daughter’s hammock, lying in our room, and the person was supposed to have had consistency, as there are two more rooms here,” he said.

Afterwards, Larissa said that the couple slept and that she was awakened when she felt a person touching her body. “Kissing my face, smelling me. And the person was holding my hand in her private parts. This man did this to me. harassing, a fellow worker.”

She said that she moved at the time, but she didn’t open her eye at any time or say anything for fear of an explosive reaction from her husband. “Because I knew that if I made a fuss, Jean would kill this man here in the house […] I just moved quickly and realized that he walked away,” he said.

Larissa said that she hit Jean on the head three times to wake him up and asked him to put her under his arms, which was done by her husband. For the rest of the night, the singer said she was silent, waiting for the man to leave the room.

In the following days, the singer said she felt very bad for not knowing how to talk about what happened with her husband. She added that she has an anxiety attack. “I was just wondering if I was going to say this to Jean or not. I didn’t know if he would understand me, if he would get satisfaction. All I know is that I had a big crisis of anxiety, I spent the whole week vomiting”, said Larissa, crying .

She decided to tell her husband and those responsible for the band, who supported her. “No woman is to blame for being abused. It was very cowardly, I was sleeping,” he said. She added that she made the outburst as a way to alert and encourage other women to report situations of abuse.

“I was in normal clothes. Even though I was naked, I was in my bed with my husband. No one has the right to touch me, no one has the right to touch any woman if she doesn’t let me,” he said.

Hours after the report on social media, Larissa spoke again to thank the messages of affection and support she is receiving from fans.

In a statement posted on Instagram, the band Mastruz com Leite says it is “taking measures regarding the musician and providing support for the singer”.

“Banda Mastruz Com Leite reinforces that it repudiates any and all forms of abuse against women, whether physical, psychological or sexual. We continue to provide assistance and support for Larissa”.
