Special tribute to Beach Boys titled “A Grammy Salute to The Beach Boys” is set to air April 9 on CBS and Paramount+.

The two-hour program, filmed in Los Angeles, will celebrate the career of the band, which has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2001.

Beach Boys members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks and Bruce Johnston appear on the tribute, which includes renditions of the band’s iconic hits by John Legend, Norah Jones, Brandi Carlyle, Beck and the Fall Out Bands Boy and Weezer.

In addition, actors Tom Hanks, John Stamos, singers Bruce Springsteen and John Stamos, and the record producer-songwriter and CEO of the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2001 are on board and talking about the Beach Boys.

Formed in 1961 in California, the band is known for hits like ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘California Girls’, ‘Surfin’ USA’, ‘Sloop John B’, ‘God Only Knows’ and ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice » was inducted in 1988 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
