The 33-year-old singer currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most monthly listeners on Spotify (male) with 111.6 million, making him the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on the platform, Guinness confirmed.
Her Spotify numbers surpass even other famous acts such as Miley Cyrus, who has 82.3 million monthly listeners, Shakira (81.7 million), Taylor Swift (80.3 million) and Rihanna (78.2 million).
The Weeknd’s closest competitor is Ed Sheeran who has 77.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
