THE Dimitris Skarmoutsos this Sunday, April 2 at 5:45 p.m returns with the “Neighborhoods on a Plate” in Patisia. After all, “Paradeisia”, as one of their names was in the past, is a neighborhood that is difficult to exhaust in a single exploration.

Mr. Panagiotis and Ms. Georgia know very well the ingredients of a good traditional dish, that’s why a walk from the traditional tavern “Spanos” could not be missing from this visit to Patisia.

A little further down, in a quiet corner of the neighborhood near Agios Eleftherios, Dimitris discovers “Marzimanu Marzipan” the colorful shop of Manina! There he will try Marzipan in every shape and flavor, while Manina tells him that from Fine Arts, she found herself among marzipan, sugar creations and… stardust!

Deucalion Komis is a huge personality of the Patisians. His restaurant is housed in a neoclassical building in Laskaratos, during the golden times all the cream of Athens passed through the “Count”. Today it remains iconic while serving simple dishes that have stood the test of time.

The walk in Patisia will end with a visit to the “Thanasis 1948” restaurant, one of the oldest restaurants in Athens. A shop you wouldn’t expect to find in Patisia, with unique meats from all over the world and special cuts.

When Dimitris Skarmoutsos returns to the studio he prepares two separate recipes: savory pancakes with spinach and Souroto Paros and kiunefe.

See you next week in another neighborhood!
