Luiza, from the duo with Maurílio, returns to singing on the web after the singer’s death

The country singer Luiza, who was a duo with Maurílio, appeared in Instagram Stories this Thursday (6) singing for the first time after the artist’s death, on December 29, 2021. In the record, she sings the song “Onde Deus Can Hear Me” by Vander Lee.

“Do you know what I want most now, my love? To live inside my interior to understand why they attack each other, push each other into the abyss, struggle, fight each other without knowing it. My love, let me cry until I get tired, take me to anywhere where God can hear me,” reads the line she sings.

Last Sunday (2), the singer had published an emotional letter in honor of her partner. “I asked so much for God to get you out of there healthy, for me to hug you, to apologize for the countless times I took my PMS out on you, to smell your clean clothes with Invictus”, he began.

“To sit with you and a guitar and sing just the ones we love”. Throughout the text, she says that while Maurílio was hospitalized, she mentally talked to him making promises. The singer also says that the day the artist died, she knew the great connection she had with him.

“Such our connection that I felt you with me, your scent, your presence, I heard your voice, everything was crazy for me, and although it was and is being very difficult, I understood a lot these last few days.” Finally, she stated that the artist will be very proud of her and thanked him for being a friend, brothers and one of the loves of her life.

Maurílio died on December 29 at the Instituto Ortopédico de Goiânia (IOG). He had been hospitalized since the 20th in the ICU of a hospital after suffering three cardiac arrests due to a pulmonary thromboembolism. Before that, he was hospitalized for five days at Hospital Jardim América.

The musician had been showing a worsening in his clinical condition since the night of December 28. The last bulletin, shared by the musician’s press office, on the morning of the 29th, reported that he was still hospitalized in serious condition, and had worsened in the last 12 hours.

During the singer’s hospitalization, Luiza and the duo’s profile shared the medical report of his health status. In one of the publications, the singer asked for prayers for her friend. “We will not give up, nor be discouraged, keep praying, God is in charge and he is the one who knows everything! We will not be discouraged”, wrote Luiza.
