Netflix: “Chosen” is the new mystery series in a small provincial town in Denmark

How many times have the Scandinavian countries shown us that they know how to handle this kind of mystery better than any other? After so many successes, we have definitely lost count. But what happens when the well-made mystery is combined with science fiction? The new Chosen mystery series will give us as many answers as we need.

Chosen takes place in the fantastic, small town of Middelbo, Denmark

Among them lives 17-year-old Emma, a girl who thinks she knows the history of her place well. To be precise, as he informs us, Middelbo became known worldwide several years ago when a meteorite fell there. Emma eventually grows up realizing that this story that made her so proud of her place may not be true. Her small town hides many more secrets than she imagines, so she begins to discover them along with some of her peers.

The truth is that 17 years ago not a meteorite fell in their area, but a spaceship. This, of course, is part of a larger story whose plot the teenagers of the series are called to unravel. Faced with the distrust of those around them, they will often put themselves at risk to prove what is really going on in Middelbo. The conspiracy that exists around what is happening explains something much deeper for the specific area and its people.
