The National Archaeological Museum invites young visitors to take part in its specially designed educational activities, which will take place during the Easter holidays, April 10 and 12, 2023.

Through these activities, children will make use of their free time, activating their imagination and developing their creativity.

More specifically, the following educational activities will be carried out:

M. Monday, April 10, 2023 for children 6 to 8 years old:

Educational programme “Tales and games companionship with mythical creatures» with an art workshop.

Through the telling of a fairy tale through glove puppets, the children will take a trip to the Museum’s Vase Collection and get to know mythical creatures of antiquity.

They will then undertake to discover them in the exhibition space and express themselves creatively inspired by the relevant exhibits.

Time: 11:00 – 13:00

Number of children per program: 20 children

M. Wednesday April 12, 2023 for children 9 to 12 years old:

Educational programme “In the Mycenaean palace» with an art workshop.

Our little friends will explore the Museum’s Collection of Mycenaean Antiquities under the guidance of the archaeologists in charge and learn about the Mycenaean culture and the Mycenaeans in the various aspects of their lives.

Also, the children will have the possibility of tactile contact with replicas of ancient objects and will participate in an art workshop making their own works inspired by the exhibits.

Time: 11:00 – 13:00

Number of children per program: 20 children

All educational activities are provided free of charge for children.
