Brad Pitt had been letting his 105-year-old neighbor live rent-free in his former $39 million Los Angeles estate for years, the star revealed Elvira Cassandra Peterson in a recent interview.

The Oscar-winning actor, who sold his mansion after nearly three decades in March, was the perfect neighbor for his elderly friend after the death of his wife.

Peterson, 71, who became neighbors with Pitt after selling her home to him in 1994, said the actor had built his mansion and bought some other properties.

Peterson said the actor has always been nice and sweet to her throughout the years they’ve been neighbors, and reveals she almost fainted when she saw the Hollywood star shirtless and punching a sack in preparation for the movie Fight Club.

Last month the famous actor sold his mansion for $39 million, which is a far cry from the $1.7 million he paid when he bought it. The actor was very involved in the design process to create his perfect abode. Pitt is said to be making the move from Los Angeles to a $40 million home in the small coastal town of Carmel, Northern California.
