At the annual Star Wars Celebration held in London – amid lightsabers, posters and Star Wars figures – fans of the iconic sci-fi saga learned some great news: three new films will be made

The annual Star Wars celebration is attended each year by guest actors who have appeared in some of the films.

This time, the English star of Star Wars, Daisy Ridley, took to the stage of the event and confirmed that she will also play in the next film.

Ridley will play her character, Rey, in a story set 15 years after the events of the 2019 film “The Rise of Skywalker.” The upcoming film will focus on the rebuilding of the New Jedi Order as “forces rise to bring it down” according to Disney.

The second of three upcoming films will delve into the past to tell the story of the first Jedi to wield the Force.

The third will take place in the present and will chronicle an escalating war between the old Empire and the newly formed New Republic.

Details on when the films will be released or the cast have not been announced. So…be patient.
