Greta Van Fleet revealed the valuable advice given to them by Elton John during his 2017 Oscars night party.
In an interview with Kevin Vargas on the Loudwire Nights radio show, bassist Sam Kiska and drummer Danny Wagner of the American rock group recalled meeting Elton John.
“He told us: ‘Shine! Do it! You have it! Don’t be shy! Just dare!” said Sam Kiska. “After that we said, ‘OK, we’ll do it.’ It’s something we have to remember, that we have to give it our all and create another face that appears out there,” he added.

“I think everyone is trying to create almost a different person on stage. “Daniel and Josh really got into the rhinestones and sparkles and created a completely different self on stage and we’re blown away,” he said.
“It was probably the best year of our career to be able to meet someone like Elton John,” added Wagner.

“We were at the beginning. And he gave us this advice. He told us to flaunt what you’ve got, while you’ve got it, basically. The man is a hero to us. He is the one among all the artists that we listened to growing up, that we held on a high pedestal. So when you hear something like that from a personality like her, you take it seriously,” he explained.
Earlier this month, Greta Van Fleet announced details of their third album ‘Starcatcher’ which will be released on July 21st and produced by Grammy Award winner Dave Cobb.
