Johnny Depp is living a new life in the UK countryside and is now rumored to be looking to buy a regional pub. The Pirates of the Caribbean star is said to live in a 19th century mansion in Somerset. As The Mirror newspaper reports, Johnny Depp’s residence is located on an estate of 4,000 acres.
Now the American actor and musician is reportedly also looking to buy a historic pub in the area. It’s The Checkers Inn pub for sale, which will cost Johnny Depp £965,500 if he buys it.

According to a report in The Sun newspaper, the actor is believed to have been informed of the sale by his friend and illustrator Ralph Steedman, who is also a regular at The Checkers Inn pub. “Depp loves the pub,” she said.
“Johnny loves history and has said in the past that he wants to buy a pub. It’s right in the heart of the English countryside and it’s right on the road to his residence,” he explained.
Depp spoke of his love for his new home in Britain earlier this month and explained how he appreciates the quieter atmosphere in the UK as it suits his “shy” personality.
