Kiss Day: Why the most important kiss of BBB 23 was the one that never happened

This Thursday, April 13th, is International Kissing Day. Although the date is always remembered with lists of spectacular glasses in movies, series or reality shows, BBB 23 (Globo) is there to prove that it doesn’t need that to win over the public.

If we don’t look at the case of Amanda and Cara de Sapato, who were never really a couple. The two became the most “shipped” duo in the issue. Despite declaring that they are just “best friends”, the “docshoes”, as fans of the duo call themselves, don’t care about it.

Even after the fighter’s expulsion —for trying to forcibly kiss the Mexican Dania Mendez, who spent a few days on exchange at the house—, the “docshoes” (a combination of parts of the words doctor and shoe in English) form one of the crowds that moves the most the social networks. They are the ones who, at the moment, favor Amanda to win the final prize of the program, at least on social networks.

Imagine, however, that Amanda and Shoe had kissed. And that, after that kiss, the relationship had not evolved satisfactorily. It is a possibility, since no one knows a priori if there will be a fit between the bodies. The duo’s fans would certainly be frustrated.

Even worse: what if that kiss ended up shaking their friendship? Perhaps that would split the fans, who would have to split between supporting one or the other. And even if they had stayed together, they would have had to split if the two were to remain in the competition.

However, like someone rooting for the girl to stay with the guy in a romantic comedy, the “docshoes” keep waiting for an outcome that they have no idea if they will ever have it. This keeps the audience engaged — and voting a lot, as if this happy ending depended on them.

REMEMBER WHO KISSED WHO ON BBB 23

The first kiss on the show was given by Gustavo and Key Alves. This was also the first couple to be “shipped”, making the union a reality at the first party. “He’s exactly the man I always thought didn’t exist,” Key said, already smitten. Outside the house, however, the relationship did not work.

The kisses of Bruna Griphao and Gabriel Fop caused more controversy than passion. A few days after the first kiss, the model had aggressive attitudes, which made him take a live alert from Tadeu Schmidt.

Fred and Larissa formed another couple in the house, which lasted until she left (who ended up returning to the game just when the beloved was eliminated). In addition to the internet users’ fans, the two also engaged influencer Bianca Andrade, Fred’s ex and mother of his son, Cris. “Welcome to our Boca Family”, said Boca Rosa on the networks.

Fred Nicácio and Gabriel Santana also starred in a highly commented kiss in the edition. The actor also got to kiss Sarah Aline, before she and Ricardo Alface started dating — Sarah and Alface are the only ones currently living a romance in the house.

In terms of “almost”, Bruna Griphao and Gabriel Santana also scored. The actor asked twice for a kiss from his sister, but the request was denied. The program’s production intervened at a party to prevent a kiss from being stolen.

Paula and Alface even exchanged caresses and slept together, but they didn’t kiss either. Paula commented at Casa do Reencontro that there was an action between her and Ricardo under the duvet, with their hands. Bruna Griphao even joked: “The kiss didn’t happen, but the hand…”.
