The Carabinieri arrested today in Sicily Laura Bonafede, 56, who, according to the Italian press, has been the partner of Cosa Nostra leader Matteo Messina Denaro since the mid-1990s.

Denaro was arrested in Palermo, Sicily last January, while he was outside a private clinic in the city and after being a fugitive and “missing” for 30 years.
