by

After a brief statement about the death of Marília Mendonça (1995, 2021) this Saturday morning (6), Murilo Huff, 26, returned to social media after the artist’s funeral to remember the relationship with the singer, who died this Friday (5), victim of an air accident.

“I’m still here, still speechless, but I’ve already seen that this won’t pass. Not so soon. You went without warning and left a hole inside me. A hole that no one will ever be able to fill”, began the singer-songwriter, who then he spoke of the son he had with Marília, Léo, almost two years old.

“Maybe this little one running here in the room will help me to miss him. Or maybe he makes me miss even more, because he’s his face. I don’t know. I’m lost. But I promise you I’ll find the way and I’ll take care of it. from him, with all my strength”, guaranteed the singer, as requested by her, “in the last message, before getting on that plane.

In the outburst, which resembles a letter to the artist, Huff undertakes not only to take care of her son, but also her mother, Ruth Moreira, her brother, João Gustavo, and even her stepfather Deyvid Fabrício . “I swear I wanted now to have at least 1% of the strength you always had. To be able to withstand this pain,” he lamented.

He ended by thanking Marília for everything they had lived together in the almost four years they had known each other and related, and also by declaring the affection he felt for the singer. “Thank you so much for always believing and respecting my dream. Thank you so much for loving me. Thank you so much for letting me love you. I will love you forever, you stubborn one,” he concluded.

The artist also shared several photos with the singer both in the post and on Instagram Stories. In addition, he also paid tribute to two other victims of the accident: the music producer, Henrique Ribeiro and the uncle of the country, Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho.

The relationship between Marília and Huff was marked by comings and goings, but also by respect and friendship. In July 2020, when the couple announced their first separation, the singer denied rumors of betrayal and praised her former partner. “He’s a very respectful guy, I’m very proud to have my son with him. He’s a good guy, a fighter, a fighter, from his family,” she wrote on social media at the time.

On the same day, Huff also spoke: “Marília and I are fine with each other”, he wrote. “We always respect each other a lot and I’m very proud of her, of having had and creating an eternal bond with her, who is our son,” he added. “I am extremely grateful for every minute of life she shared with me over these years. The respect will continue between us forever.”

The couple resumed their relationship in November of the same year, but broke up again. In September, after confirming a new breakup, the sertaneja asked for respect and again said that she had been very happy with Huff.

“Behind two singers, there are three lives. Remember that. If there’s a true story, it’s that we were very happy and tried everything, we gave it our best. And that’s honorable. Now let’s go on in peace. I’m so grateful to this relationship for everything,” he wrote.

“Respect the people. Respect the endings. Respect the motives. That’s all! Respect how you would like to be respected,” she concluded.

Marília, known as the queen of suffering and one of the greatest voices in contemporary Brazilian music, died at the age of 26 this Friday afternoon. The information was confirmed by the Fire Department of Minas Gerais in a note sent to the press.

The singer was one of five victims of a plane crash that fell into a mountain range in Piedade de Caratinga, 309 kilometers from Belo Horizonte. The artist had a concert scheduled for the date in Caratinga, about ten kilometers from the accident site.

The fall occurred around 3pm. At first, it was not known if it was the singer who was on board the aircraft. It was the twin-engine resemblance seen in a video she’d shared on Instagram two hours earlier that sparked the doubt. In a comical tone, the publication showed Mendonça embarking and eating.

In addition to Marília, Henrique and Abicieli, pilot Geraldo Martins de Medeiros and co-pilot Tarcísio Pessoa Viana also died in the plane crash.
