Bruno Gagliasso defends Manoel Soares and calls Betty Faria the ‘new Regina Duarte’

The presenter caused a stir after giving a live cut to her co-worker and, with the repercussion of the episode on the internet, other celebrities joined the discussion. The most recent clash took place between actor Bruno Gagliasso and actress Betty Faria, who exchanged barbs on Twitter. “Is there a new Regina Duarte coming?”, questioned Gagliasso.

It all started when Betty Faria defended Patrícia Poeta, commenting on a tweet from the Sheet which featured a report from the F5 about the case. “And is he a victim? Every day there is this in the media. Is it a campaign against Patrícia Poeta, a good professional, known, with many years of work? He became famous for that, because he was not known before. Boring thing!”, she wrote.

After that, the actress countered criticism made by netizens about her positioning. “Can’t you say anything that is prejudice anymore? Now EVERYTHING is prejudice? Can’t you say anything else, defend a professional from daily attacks that is prejudice?”, she said.

In response, Bruno Gagliasso questioned whether Betty Faria was becoming “a new Regina Duarte”. Duarte was Secretary of Culture during the government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and her image ended up rusting, mainly due to the dissemination of many fake news on the internet. “I came back just to ask a question: Is there a new Regina Duarte coming? Beth Duarte or Regina Farias?”, wrote Gagliasso on Twitter.

Faria did not leave the actor unanswered and said that his speech was “clueless” and “absurd”. “Bruno, you don’t know me. I admire you for everything, but don’t be unfair to me because I gave an opinion in defense of a good professional woman who is suffering a daily campaign. that displeases.
