Fafá de Belém was another name involved in the controversy between Patrícia Poeta and Manoel Soares. This Tuesday (18), the singer came out in defense of actress Betty Faria, who was criticized by actor Bruno Gagliasso after commenting on the presenter.
Fafá published a text on the networks praising Betty’s legacy and citing her as a reference among empowered women: “I’m 66 years old, I was born in Belém do Pará. I’m not a friend of Betty Faria, I’ve been with her on some social occasions, but she, along by Norma Bengel, Odete Lara, Leila Diniz and other women of this caliber, taught us, then girls, what female empowerment, freedom, positioning, courage was”.
“On this day, I bow to you and thank you for everything. Hail and Viva Betty Faria”, wrote the singer, asking for respect, above all. The actress left the reaction in the comments: “beautiful to make me cry what you wrote”.
After calling Manoel Soares a victim in the controversy with Patrícia Poeta and saying that “he became famous for that, because he was not known before”, Betty Faria was criticized on the web. Bruno Gagliasso was one of those who reacted on Twitter, comparing the actress with Regina Duarte, a supporter of former president Jair Bolsonaro: “I came back just to ask a little question: is there a new Regina Duarte coming? Beth Duarte or Regina Faria?”
