During an event in New York a few days ago at The 92nd Street Y cultural center (center photo), Pacino revealed that he was originally offered the role of Ford in the 1977 sci-fi film and was even offered “so much money ».

“When I first came, I was the new kid, you know what happens when you first become famous,” the “Marked” and “Godfather” star told the audience.

“They were saying, ‘Give it (role) to Al.’ They would also give me Queen Elizabeth to play,” he said characteristically.

Al Pacino said he was offered a “script called Star Wars” but turned it down because he didn’t understand it.

“Do not understand. I read it. … So I said I couldn’t do it. I gave Harrison Ford a career,” Pacino joked.
