Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field admitted that they almost never have sex. The former ‘Take That’ singer has revealed that he takes testosterone injections, which have worsened his depression and at the same time led to reduced sexual activity and a low libido.

The couple – in a joint interview – insisted that the fact that they don’t have sex is not a problem for their marriage. The singer told The Sun: “Everyone knows there is no sex after marriage. That’s just how things are. I was on testosterone for a while but, being an addict, that had to be stopped. The sex we had when I was on testosterone was incredible. We had sex all the time. We were full. But it shows how much we lusted after each other. I miss this. This was a fun time.

Sometimes Ayda says to me, “We have to have sex,” and I sit there and eat a tangerine and just shrug. So, you know, sometimes we try.”

The 43-year-old wife of the famous singer said: “Intimacy is the important, essential side of love. We are happy.”

In September, the singer admitted that he is finally happy after his recent weight loss. The singer, who has previously spoken openly about his addictions to both food and drugs, added that he has learned to accept himself.

“I’ve lost weight but it’s a constant struggle. Inside me is a huge person… If I didn’t do what I do for a living, I shudder to think what I would look like and what I would become,” he added.

The singer, who has now been sober for 20 years, revealed that he has finally learned to accept himself after struggling in the past. “I hated myself and thought I couldn’t sing.”

Robbie Williams entered rehab in 2007 for drug abuse. He has previously admitted he was just “24 hours away from death” at the height of his addiction.
