Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish Greece) celebrates on April 29 the World Wish Day with the established, annual Walk for Wishes in the center of Athens!
As every year, volunteers, wish families and friends of the organization will walk in the footsteps of the first wish, that of Chris, wearing something blue, and celebrate the 43-year anniversary of the global organization, in “traditional» pace!
The fairies and elves are preparing a big surprise to celebrate the day with the protagonist is a wish child, Despina! The Northern Greek Despina has a great love for… Crete. In the place, the culture, the manners and customs and especially in its melodies and dances. Despite her mobility limitations, when she listens to Cretan music, it is impossible not to dance!
The walk will start from Dionysios Areopagitou (height of the Odeon of Herodes of Atticus) where we will gather between 19:00 – 19:30and we will all march together towards her Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens, under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens. The surprises that will await Despina, but also all the participants – young and old – will be many! We will dance, we will sing, we will take photos with super heroes, we will light up the historic Technopolis in blue shades, but above all we will offer Despina an unforgettable experience!
The event will be held under his auspices Municipality of Athens and her valuable support Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens. The “opening kick” of this year’s walk will be given by Despina, with her co-protagonists and fellow travelers, all the children of wish and especially those facing mobility limitations. Participation is free for all!
