Singer Simony will have to resume treatment against colon cancer. In a publication on social networks, on the night of this Wednesday (26), the artist revealed a video in which her doctor, Fernando Maluf, talks about the need to restart the fight against the disease, which was diagnosed in August last year.
“Simon had a great response to treatment with chemo and radiotherapy on an intestinal lesion,” he said at the beginning of the video, referring to the previous six months of chemotherapy. “This response was very important, but there are still points of disease activity that will require us to return to the chemotherapy treatment plus immunotherapy”.
The oncologist reinforced that Simony “is excited, positive”. “She is an inspiring person. We are confident that this treatment will generate a great response”, he added. In the caption of the video, the singer said that she will be transparent about the evolution of her condition and made requests: “Prayers, love, faith, that’s what I want from all of you always”.
In a recent interview with F5, Simony told more details about the moment she is facing. “This has given new meaning to everything in me. Today, whenever I wake up, it’s the most important day of my life. I don’t make long plans or anything thanks, my only obligation is to be happy. I spend more time with my family”, she said.
