Without a red carpet and with only 200 attendees, on the night of January 9, the 79th Golden Globe TV and film awards ceremony took place, amid a pandemic and countless scandals plaguing Hollywood.
The stars of cinema and television did not walk the red carpet and received … their awards online.
It made sense that despite the huge success of Netflix’s Squid Game, the series failed to shine at the awards, but Korean actor O Yeong su managed to win an award.

On the other hand, everyone is talking about the award of MJ Rodriguez from the series Pose (also of Netflix) who won an award and made history as the first transsexual actress who managed to win a Golden Globe.

However, two famous actors took part in the ceremony, not live, but with videos uploaded by the Golden Globes on social media. On the one hand, Jamie Lee Curtis, who has twice won a Golden Globe (in 1990 for “Anything but Love” and in 1995 for “True Lies”) and five other times as a candidate, spoke about her philanthropic work. The Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association, while Arnold Swarchzenegger, who in 1977 was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for “Stay Hungry” (again nominated for Best Actor in 1995 for “Junior”), explained how important a role he played this, the first distinction at the beginning of his career, emphasizing, at the same time, exactly (in his view) the virtue of inclusion in the Golden Globes, as they awarded him, a then unknown, body builder from Austria (not exactly in the subject of modern conflicts with the Union)
