Neighborhoods in Piato: In the green Metamorfosi – Watch the trailer

Transformation it is a beautiful neighborhood, with open streets and lots of greenery, an oasis of calm next to the bustling Athens-Lamia National Highway. For many years it remained a village that followed the development of Attica very slowly. Today it has evolved into a quiet and relaxed district of Athens where Dimitris Skarmoutsos will guide us with the “Neighborhoods on a plate” this Sunday at 17:45, at SKAY.

First stop of his tour “Vietnam”, a special diner, a tribute to the 80s, with specialty meats and a relaxed atmosphere. Here everything is street!

Afterwards, the smell of freshly roasted coffee will lead Dimitris Skarmoutsos to “Adam’s”a classic neighborhood coffee shop where, in addition to coffee, you can now also find a wide variety of nuts.

Here’s a quick stop at “Christara” for pork gyros that is made every day in the shop, with the right ratio of meat and fat to be juicy and dry.

The walk to Metamorfosi ends with the restaurant “goat”, by Vassilis Akrivos. Vassilis is known in the culinary field for his very beautiful and neat shops that use excellent raw materials. “Gidi” is something between a traditional butcher’s tavern and a steak house. When we arrive, we are greeted by an antichristo on the fire while inside we are waiting for selections of aged steaks and more.

Returning to the studio, Dimitris Skarmoutsos prepares two delicious recipes for us: fried sausage with chickpeas and seafood paella with vermicelli.
