In an episode of the cooking reality show MasterChef, played in Australia, the British chef, Jamie Oliverrevealed that he hosted two refugee families from Ukraine last year.

As reported by the “Metro” newspaper, the famous chef was invited to the televised cooking competition. In fact, a month ago he renewed his wedding vows with his wife Jules, 23 years after their marriage and having had five children.

In the premiere of the fifteenth cycle, when contestant Larissa Sewell presented a dish from Russia and one from Ukraine, the famous “Borsch” with “Pabushka” buns, the chef said: “With all that is going on in the world right now, it is important that you are here with a Russian and a Ukrainian dish. Can I tell you a little secret that no one knows? I have two families from Ukraine living with me for the past seven months». He went on to say:We have participated in charity events with top chefs from Ukraine, so I have eaten quite a bit of “borsch”. She is wonderful!”.

It is worth noting that borscht soup is a traditional recipe from Ukraine, with beetroot as the main ingredient.
