The 7th Civil Court of Rio condemned presenter Antônia Fontenelle in yet another lawsuit involving the brothers Felipe Neto and Luccas Neto. She will have to pay more than R$ 100 thousand reais in moral damages for the influencers. The two claimed that Fontenelle made a video accusing the duo of pedophilia in 2020 and filed a lawsuit against the actress.
In the sentence, Judge Samuel de Lemos Pereira says that Felipe and Luccas’ lines were taken out of context in a video. “It is inferred from the reading of the subtitles, which were written by the defendant herself, offenses with the intention of depreciating the image of the authors, when alluding that the applicants would have committed alleged acts of pedophilia”.
The magistrate also recalled that Fontenelle had already been criminally convicted of the accusations of slander, defamation and injury against the Neto brothers, in December 2021. Antonia can still appeal the sentence, published recently.
According to the current decision, the presenter is obliged to pay R$ 50,000 for each defendant, plus monetary correction. She was also ordered to pay attorney fees.
In addition, Antônia must publish a retraction in the same space (Youtube) and for the same time as the aforementioned video, which has already been removed from the air. O F5 contacted Fontenelle and received no response.
