Nikolakopoulos: “Olympiacos would still be in the battle for the top if they had the same treatment…”

by

Olympiakos’ report was carried by Kostas Nikolakopoulos on News Bulletin 247.

The red and white reporter, commenting on yesterday’s derby, expressed the opinion that the red and white with the problems they had this year and with a version of the team that was not his best in recent years, if he had the same treatment from the referee as the one that AEK had and Panathinaikos would be at least in the battle for the first two until the last matchday and for a ticket that leads to the Champions League qualifiers.

He recalled two – only – cases, the penalty whistled in the 97th minute in the derby against Panathinaikos in Leoforos, and the penalty in the match against AEK in Karaiskakis.

Kostas Nikolakopoulos pointed out, in fact, that Olympiacos beat Panathinaikos with a very good – by all accounts – refereeing by Brich and added that he believes that, yes, Doi went a little crazy in the phase with Sporar, but that was not a marking to a penalty kick is awarded.

Finally, he commented that Panathinaikos paid for its inability to take advantage of its home ground in the playoffs and that he would expect the greens, especially with PAOK, to “clean it up”, since they were from the first to the last matchday in first class.
