The Justice of São Paulo determined that the presenter Dudu Camargo indemnify the singer Simony in R$ 30 thousand for moral damages. The lawsuit was filed by her in 2020 after the journalist groped her breasts during a live broadcast.
At the time, she was a reporter for RedeTV! on the Bastidores do Carnaval program and was interviewing Dudu, presenter of SBT, when he ran his hands over the artist’s body, who pushed him away: “Don’t squeeze too much, I’m not used to it”, she said. In an interview with F5 after the incident, the artist said that she was considering suing him for not being permissive.
“I’ve never been in any embarrassing situation or someone touching me without my consent. This is not a joke, it’s very serious,” he said. The final estimated amount will be plus interest and monetary restatement. In addition, Camargo must pay Simony’s attorney fees and other procedural costs, in the amount of 15% of the conviction.
In the interview, he still asks Simony for a kiss and proposed that the two have a child. The singer replied that she already had four children and had no interest in having another one. Finally, she gave Camargo a peck and complained: “It was just a peck and he keeps holding our necks”.
