2. Evidence of Breathing: The exhibition of Pasquas Borgias and Pavlos Physakis at the Philological Association “Parnassos” is completed
Until the 17th of May, the Onassis Foundation House presents at the Parnassos Philological Association an exhibition that gives new life to archival traces, family heirlooms, historical documents, everything that constitutes “Breathing Evidence”. With “Documents of Breathing” Pasqua Borgia and Pavlos Fysakis search for the most secure supports of memory. The exhibition is an attempt to collect pieces that, when united, “re-live” History, documenting the end of time. These fragments of life make up the ‘Documents of Breathing’. A dark forest, a sea, the abyss or the laughter of a child. Images with an archetypal, cryptic or allegorical meaning are anchored through their captions to a very specific moment and condition and converse with a historical monument, an embracing couple, a magic ring, stills from a soft porn film of the 70s or a photo romance. And everything can be both historical evidence and family heirlooms – even a sky.
Exhibition duration: April 20 to May 17, 2023
Hours: Monday/Wednesday/Sunday: 11:00 – 15:00. Thursday/Friday: 11:00 – 20:00. Saturday: 11:00 – 19:00
