Concerts, an open-air music cinema that will take us to the most glamorous capitals of classical music and opera and to the biggest festivals in the world, screenings of silent films with live musical accompaniment and shadow theatre, make up this year’s multi-collective program of the Concert Hall Garden Athens in which the Greek song plays the leading role.

Kostis Maravegias (16/6), Maria Papageorgiou (23/6), Maria Farandouri, Savina Giannatou, Yannis Palamidas, Dimitra Galani and Konstantinos Vita will be on the stage of the Garden this summer as part of the tribute to Lena Platonos (7/7).

For the first time, the Garden’s program this year combines two productions aimed at the whole family: the Burger Project party with their well-known hits but also new songs and interactive musical games (8/7) as well as the brand new work of Ilias Karellas “Theseus and the Minotaur”, in which the beloved director and shadow actor meets Greek mythology and creates an original musical performance with giant shadow theater figures and live music based on the Cretan tradition and not only (27 & 28/6 and 3, 4, 11 & 12/7).

At the same time, the Garden welcomes the established Festival of Music (21/6) with the KOA, the ERT Choir and the jazz trio of Tassos Pappa, who will present Neapolitan cansonets, introductions from famous Italian operas, emblematic hits of the Bealtes as well as original jazz compositions, but also arrangements, while also hosting the concert “Sounds among the leaves” with bands and artists who distinguished themselves in the “Open Platforms”, the Megaros auditions. Admission to both events is free.
