Halle Bailey suffered during the filming of “The Little Mermaid”, when they were done in Italy and England. “We were filming at the height of the pandemic and suddenly I was living alone away from everything I knew,” Bailey told People magazine. This isolation gave her the time to dig deeper into the elements of her character, she added.

“Part of Your World,” he added, “took three days to shoot. There was a lot of physical effort and different stunts to shoot, I would fly through the air on cables and there was a lot to think about.’

If you look at it from the deeply human side, he said that “I was very emotional. I remember crying… If you listen to the lyrics, it’s a desperate plea and cry for help. I was able to convey those feelings of feeling alone and underwater in a way.”

“I feel grateful that I had this experience, that I lived this isolation and was able to channel it through Ariel,” she said. “I think ultimately it all helped my performance.”

Now, after years of hard work and preparation, the film is almost finished and Bailey is looking forward to a much-needed vacation.

“I’m going to need a few weeks to just get myself together because it’s been five years. It’s nice that it’s finally out [Η Μικρή Γοργόνα] in the world,” he said
