Melodies that relaxed us. Rhythms that made us dance. Words and lyrics from favorite songs, Greek and foreign, that we whispered. An outdoor musical cinema that takes us to the most glamorous capitals of classical music and opera and to the biggest festivals in the world. A screen of black and white frames from the silent film era, with live music from a piano giving them voice. Colorful shadow theater images on a white beret that spread smiles!

The program at a glance

Of course, the Greek song could not be missing from this year’s multi-collective program of the Garden. For the second year UNITEL, one of the largest companies producing and distributing cultural content, offers us taped concerts and performances with internationally renowned orchestras, conductors and performers (free admission). In the outdoor music cinema of the Garden, in June and July, we will have the opportunity to see the operas “Carmen” (22/6) from the Verona Arena and “Madama Butterfly” (6/7) from the Bregenz Festival as and two concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic by Musikferain (29/6 & 13/7), featuring great soloists (Martha Argerich, Leonidas Kavakos) and conductors (Zubin Mehta, Herbert Blomstedt).

Megaro, continuing this summer with screenings of silent films with live music, presents the film “The Lodger” (“The tenant”) by Alfred Hitchcock. On the piano, Stathis Anninos (30/6).
