The much-hyped Star Wars hotel had just opened in March 2022 at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and had rooms ranging from $6,000 for a two-night stay for a family of four to an eye-watering $20,000 for an all-suite suite.
When it opened, the critics they criticized Disney for the expensive windowless rooms, cheap sets, mediocre food and poorly dressed extras of the theme hotel.
When the hotel opened, Disney had boasted of “the immersive experience, which would allow guests to interact with cast members and take part in adventures during their stay” — but guests complained about the experience in relative to the high price.
