- Beautiful city, musical voices: Works by the choirmaster Mikis Theodorakis at the Olympia Municipal Theater
A rare evening will be enjoyed by the music-loving public of Athens at the Municipal Theater of Olympia, with the Choir of the Municipality of Athens presenting the choir Mikis Theodorakis with the concert “Beautiful city, musical voices”. In the early 1980s, specifically in 1982, the composer wrote the “Missa Greca”, to a text by Saint John Chrysostom for solo voice (Priest) and a cappella mixed choir. Excerpts from the work will be performed in this concert with tenor Yiannis Christopoulos in the role of the Priest. In the second part of the evening, the works “Lipotaktis”, “Mauthausen” and “Epiphania” will be presented in a transcription for a cappella choir that the composer made in 1983.

THEATER
- The man who passed or I’m interested in is Rula, from the Babushka team at the TV Control Center
The show “The Man Who Passed or I’m Interested in Rula”, a show extremely dedicated to the brain, is presented at the TV Control Center, by the Babushka team. The aim of the show, conceived and directed by Rebecca Tsiligaridou, is to ask ourselves about the joints of memory. Let’s find out what it means: “Everything was going well until…”. What does “good” mean? At what point exactly did “good” change? What does “until…” mean? We focus on the small to wonder about the big. We make conscious the fact of everyday life. We experience what memory is, what its “lack” is. We awaken to lack. In “something goes wrong”. Is it memory that makes us who we are? Are we without her? Starring: Giorgos Koumoutsos, Katerina Peki, Alexandros Piechoviak, Vana Sleiman.
