The T-shirt was unveiled in Bucharest, Romania at the national rugby team’s Arcul de Triumf stadium at the end of March with Asociatia 11even, Kaufland Romania and Federatia Romana using over 500,000 recycled plastic bottles to create it in one effort to encourage the general public to recycle.

It took more than three weeks for the bottles to be collected through the supermarket chain, a month for seamstresses to put them together and a full day for 120 volunteers to unfold the giant four-tonne T-shirt.

The T-shirt was disassembled into 10,000 different items of clothing, which were donated to underprivileged children.
