  • The Archive: Simon Woods’ play on political life under Thatcher at the Piraeus Municipal Theater

The play by Simon Woods, “Hansard”, was staged last year by Alpha Square in a Panhellenic First in Cyprus, taking care of a top theatrical meeting, that of Varnavas Kyriazis and Annita Santoriniou, who had coexisted for a number of years at the Karolos Koun Art Theater and later for many years at THOK. The show “The Archive” was a great success, as a result of which a second round of shows is being held this year in Nicosia and traveling to Greece as well. A shocking duet about the responsibility that every part of society has – politicians, husbands, parents, teachers – this is a work that provokes the sensitivity of every viewer on the issue of accepting fellow human beings. “The Archive”, translated and directed by Andreas Arauzou, is staged at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus for tonight only, with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus.
