Tribute to their suffering Ukrainian refugees what is the Fall-Winter 2023 collection of the fashion brand DZHUS. Many of her creations “Transit” they are versatile garments with many pockets and many are designed in such a way that one garment transforms into another.

Speaking to Dezeen, Irina Dzhus, founder of the brand, described how the collection was inspired by the forced displacement that millions of Ukrainians faced after the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022.The Transit collection is imbued with symbolism, conveying the painful changes my compatriots underwent during the mass removal and their reality as refugees, which followed. Having lost, in many cases, everything, our heroic world has managed to preserve its identity“, he emphasized.

In the Fall-Winter 2023 collection, you will see a variety of designs created around pockets and bags, an indirect reference to the difficult choices each of us had to make by taking with us only what we could carry and, often, priority was given to junk but unforgettable things. With this excess of portability that characterizes these garments I wanted in a way to say that I wish we could take more things with us into our new livessaid Dzhus, who last year told Dezeen about her personal experience of leaving Ukraine for Warsaw.
