Them Cyclades recommends to thousands of Swedish travelers for this summer, Sweden’s most important travel media, the magazine Vagabondas part of the dynamic outreach program of the Nordic EOT Office.

The popular travel magazine explains that “according to Greek mythology, the Cyclades were created when Poseidon turned some nymphs from the surrounding area into islands. Of the 220 islands of the Archipelago – eight are recommended that you should not miss”.

At the top of the list is Naxos which is the largest island of the Cyclades, with high mountains, green valleys, verdant gorges and amazing natural corners. Followed by Man’s which has a great maritime tradition and a landscape unlike any other island with mountain ranges joined by wide plains, streams and lush vegetation. They are followed by the bright one Mykonosthe most cosmopolitan island of Greece and the timeless Santorini which is the ultimate wedding destination.

In 5th place the Koufonisia excite lovers of exoticism and legends as they received this name because they were considered by pirates as “hollow islands” because of the caves. THE Syros famous for its delicious delicacies such as halvadopita and Turkish delight and Milos it fascinates with its geological formations and colors.

The surprise on the list is made by Virus with its 32 km of sandy coastline. The golden sands and crystal clear waters create a magical place where parts of the movie ‘The Big Blue’ were filmed.

The picture for the coming season as well as the movement of the three days of the Holy Spirit is conveyed to APE – BEE by representatives of the destinations on the list:

“The messages for the three days of the Holy Spirit are positive. We enrich our narrative with cultural events such as the Ios Festival and support international sports events. Every year Ios evolves and appears different, which makes it attractive to Greek and international visitors, as well as many repeaters”, said the Mayor of Ieton Gikas Gikas.

“Naxos is expected to have significant traffic during the three days of the Holy Spirit. At the same time, our eyes are firmly focused on international markets that this year can make a difference on the island of Ariadne and the Small Cyclades, such as Italy, Great Britain, France, the USA and Scandinavia”, stressed the Deputy Mayor of Tourism of Naxos and Mikron Cyclades Vangelis Katsaras.

“Andros shows remarkable travel flows during the festive three days of 2023. Our concern remains the Greek market, combined with the international promotion of the destination which this year has “starred” in lists of international media such as CNBC, Euronews and Wanderlust Marriage after coordinated actions”, said the Mayor of Andros Dimitris Lotsaris.
