BBB 22: Linn da Quebrada has already made a series on Globo and criticized Pedro Bial

The actress and singer Lina Pereira, 31, known as Linn da Quebrada, is another member of the Camarote group of the 22nd edition of Big Brother Brasil (Globo). The artist is known for showing her political opinions and becomes the second trans participant in the history of the reality, after Ariadna on BBB 11.

Linn was born in São Paulo and began to gain prominence in 2017, when she released the song “Enviadescer”. In addition to this song, she also had other tracks that had a good repercussion among the public, such as “Talento”, “Bixa Preta” and “Mulher”. In the year 2018, she released her first album called “Pajubá”.

In addition to her singing career, Linn also acts and debuted on TV Globo in 2019, in the series “Segunda Chamada”. In cinemas, she starred in, scripted and produced the documentary “Bixa Travesty”, which follows her trajectory and shows the machismo and the various forms of transphobia she faced in her life. The project premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and won the Teddy Award for best LGBTQIA+ documentary.

In the year 2021, the artist released her second album, called “Trava Línguas”, and recently she was on the track “Nada Sera Como Antes” by Edi Rock and Ney Matogrosso. In January of this year, the singer shared on her social networks the change in her documents, which now appear under her social name, Lina Pereira.

Currently, Linn has over 300K followers on her Instagram. Also earlier this year, she shared with her followers the reunion she had with her father. “After many, many years, more than I can remember, we finally met,” he wrote in the post.

In 2021, she criticized the journalist Pedro Bial after he uttered lines considered transphobic. At the time, Bial recalled an episode of when the player Ronaldo would have been involved with some transvestites, in 2008. However, he referred to them in the masculine pronoun. “So many years later, do you want to explain what happened in the story with the three transvestites?”, he asked the former player.

The speech reverberated on the Internet and raised the issue of transphobia. The singer criticized the journalist’s attitude at the time. “It’s absurd. Even after interviewing me and having access to so much information, Bial still allows himself such irresponsible and cruel mistakes with our bodies. A transphobia that corroborates the entire process of marginalization linked to our identities. “, he added.

Linn’s presence on BBB was celebrated for bringing diversity to the show. “I’m an exception,” says the singer. “The vast majority of transvestites do not have the possibility to work, to act, to have dignity in society.”

She says that, before fame, she already thought about signing up for the program she now arrives as a guest. “I’m a big fan of that show,” she says. “It will be the most iconic experience of my life!”​

In addition to Linn, other names such as Arthur Aguiar and Pedro Scooby were confirmed in the cast of the 22nd edition of the reality, which premieres next Monday, the 17th. The edition marks the debut of Tadeu Schmidt in the presentation and repeats the dynamics of bringing famous and anonymous to compete for the prize.
