Emily Blunt’s children aren’t as impressed by her celebrity as they are by the fact that she’s a “mom.”

In a cover interview for Harper’s Bazaar UK’s July/August issue, the actress says her two daughters, Violet, 7, and Hazel, 9, aren’t all that impressed when they see her in movie ads.

“When I see myself on a billboard, I have this complete separation with it…I’m like ‘who is she?’ And I see my kids do the same, they might say, ‘Oh, it’s mom,’ but it’s not exciting to them,” Blunt said.

“What’s exciting for my kids is when I can pick them up from school and take them swimming,” she added.

Although her girls are used to their parents’ careers, Blunt makes sure they are never away from Hazel and Violet for more than two weeks at a time.

“Although they are hardened and used to this strange life, it is still difficult when I have to leave,” he says.
