A big hug for all cultural clubs opens the Region of Attica from today June 14th to July 2nd at the “Katina Paxinos” Theater of Atticus Alsus, as part of the 2nd Tradition Festival of the Attica Region.
Traditional dances, songs, customs, historical memories and dopiolales from every part of Greece come to life in Attiko Alsos, with the protagonists being the people who built their lives in Attica but keep in their memory and everyday life the beauty of their special homelands, with the precious elements that constitute “Greater Greece”.
“The Region of Attica welcomes to Attiko Alsos the people who keep alive the tradition of our homeland” emphasized in his statements on the occasion of the start of the Festival the regional governor Giorgos Patoulis and added: “The special cultural stamp and evidence of tradition of each region are the mosaics that make up the mosaic of timeless Greek culture. The Region supports the efforts made with passion and love by the cultural associations of Attica and invites the citizens to enjoy the beauty of our tradition, of our “Greater Greece”.».

June 14: Thrace, June 15: Thessaly, June 16: Ionian Islands, June 17: Pontus and a group of Pyrrhists, June 18: Asia Minor, June 19: Arcadia, June 20: Dodecanese, June 21: Mani, June 22: Cyclades, June 23: Epirus, June 27: concert dedicated to folk songs by the Union of Singers of Greece with the participation of Antonis Kyritsis, Vangelis Dimoudis, George Bayiokis and others, June 29: Smyrna songs with Lampros Karelas, Mario, George Ventouzas etc. .a. and July 1 – 2: Festival of Cretan Tradition with well-known lyre players and dance groups.
