Dermatologist on Stênio Garcia: ‘We are sad to see so many deformed people’

In the caption, proud, the actor said that it was the result of his 1st session of ‘facial harmonization’. Experts warn against exaggeration in treatment.

“It’s almost a mission of conscientious doctors to work without exaggerating or distorting people. If necessary, the professional should even refuse to perform those procedures that will leave the patient with a strange face”, says dermatologist Doris Hexsel, who will present one of the plenary lectures precisely on the theme “Aesthetic Dermatology”, at the World Congress of Dermatology, which takes place from July 3rd to 8th, in Singapore.

There are many celebrities who appear on the internet from time to time with a deformed face as a result of a series of fillers and other procedures that, together, are called ‘facial harmonization’. Stênio stated that she underwent treatment to try to return to the job market and that she does not care about criticism.

The global market for non-surgical cosmetic treatments was valued at US$61.2 billion in 2022 and this figure is expected to rise at an annual rate of 15.4% through 2030, according to data from Grand View Research.
